Modelling fatigue behaviours and lifetimes of novel GLARE laminates under random loading spectrum

This paper aims to experimentally and numerically probe fatigue behaviours lifetimes of novel GLARE (glass laminate aluminium reinforced epoxy) laminates under random loading spectrum. A mixed algorithm based on damage concepts three-phase materials was proposed for modelling progressive mechanisms life fibre metal (FML) To validate the algorithm, tests were conducted 2/1 3/2 subjected spectrum, discussed by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis. It is shown that predominant failure depends reference load level Specifically, dominant dependent strength layer at a high level, but low level. Numerical predictions agree well with experimental results, demonstrating can effectively simulate lives
